Earlier I posted about cycling on AH43. This was as a means of ploting a route from Whitefield to Shoolagiri and then southwards. However I wonder if anyone has done a ride from Whitefield to Shoolagiri avoiding the major roads and, instead, take the smaller, quieter, country roads via Berigai to Shoolagiri. After that I will be heading south hopefully to Trichy, but my main problem on this cycle tour is getting out of the sprawling Bangalore metropolis on a Monday morning with as least stress as possible. I will cycling quite slowly on a fully loaded touring bike BTW. Thanks in advance for any help on this query!

Now hoping that someone else has done a similar Whitefield to Berigai (or thereabouts) ride.
i have not checked where exactly Berigai is, but you should see some routes from Whitefield side, towards Sarjapur/Bagalur. if you go back 2-3yrs, you should see a ride from Kuppam side to Bagalur (via Vepanapalli, IIRC); through couple of forest/reserve areas. very good, but not sure if it aligns with your Berigai plan.

Though all my routes should be public, so I am guessing you can just browse them all, based on my handle.

So I plotted this route --

(Check the various "options" on that link, to make sure you see all the data. Though I think the above link does show all details in one go.)
I have done the Whitefield-Sarjapura section, many times. Sarjapura-Bagalur section also a few times. The Bagalur-Berigai-Vepanapalli-Kuppam-YelagiriRd section (in the other direction), just once, ~3yrs back; very nice section. Nice elevation profile, & 2 forest/reserve areas (so mind the timing; do it during daylight).
I had actually ended up doing most of the Bagalur climb (from Berikai side), after sunset... was a bit of a misjudgement; lucky there was no incident. There was a forest entry/exit gate which I crossed, probably ~30mims before sunset. Was a bit suprised later, that the forest guard allowed me to proceed. Though going back was also an issue, since I had just come through the other forest section.
This should be a good exit route from Whitefield, towards Shoolagir/Yelagiri side.
