Teaching adults how to cycle BBS Cubbon Park session Sunday 23rd November 2025

Bangalore Bicycling School, Cubbon Park Session, Sunday 923 Nov 2025

A cloudy day, absolutely perfect for cycling ! There was a Canara Bank sponsored running event but most activities of Cubbon Park itself were not affected. The Bandstand was quiet and felt very unusual.

Trainers : Junaid , Ali, Vinay, Ganesh, Bhoomika, Surabhi

Hello: Sunitha mam waved a hi ! while she was walking her dog. Chandrashekhar sir stopped for a chat during his late morning stroll.

Newbies :

Anjali : This little girl came with mom, but rental cycles were not open due to the running event ; however, she was game to learn balancing on adult bike and did get quite a good hang of it ! Of course, she will need correct sized bike next lesson for mounting and dismounting practice.

Tanay : This young man came with mom and dad and learnt basics , did scooting and should do well as balancing posture is good. He was Surabhi's first student !💐

Shivum : started scooting, struggled bit while scooting, need more pratice.

Ongoing Learners:

Alex : Was the star 🌟 of the day and was able to get his balance but would need to work on the swaying in the next session

Anish : More of a hello than actual learning for him. The rental cycle being closed for the Canara Bank run, he was without his rented cycle.

Anuha : rode uphill and downhill need to pratice circles and zigzags

Bharath : Now settling with pedalling, however, uphill is still to be conquered !

Surabhi : She was early, full of enthusiasm to start working towards a new role of trainer and grabbed the opportunity taking Tanay under her wings ! Remains student herself, with scope of better braking and stopping.

Sharon : This surgeon student continued her scooting practice, being tall, was finding it a challange to do it on pedalled bikes

Shreerupa : In her second class, although started pedalling, the basics of safe mounting / dismounting needed to be learnt, which she very willingly got on with.

Raveena - Her second session,moved to pedaling but was not confident so pegged back to scooting and was helped by Bhoomika.

Salma- Super smiling senior, as usual, rode a few rounds. Needs to keep doing basic stuff like safe mounting, and braking.

Shwetha Bhaskar: Rode independently today. Working on her signalling steps.
