Yeah sure. And the pics are actually like that only. Beautiful place.
About the road, its mainly highway. after nelamangala its the nice
tumkur highway and the road is really superb. Say its about 3/4 th of
the distance.
After that we need to take a diversion in between where the road
condition is not so good. But managable.
Dont worry all tarmac road only. And for the challenge we have steep
uphill at Devarayana Durga.
Regarding the safety national highway is one way and its very wide so
no prob. and after that not much traffic so need not worry.

Santhosh

Its approx 80 KM from family mart and can be 100KM (or more) on the
way back. Following are statics from bikeszone
http://www.bikeszone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=590
Statistics
Total Ride time : 5 hours (Including breaks)
Total distance from BTM : ~87 Kms
Road quality :
Bangalore to Kanakapura(50 Kms) -> Good, but lots of traffic.
Kanakapura to Sathnur(16 Kms) -> Very good, sparse traffic.
Sathnur to Muthathi(18 Kms) -> First 6 kms of bad road and later the
quality is too good, good change of elevation and nice ride through
forest.
Cheers

And Rushi i guess wee can go to Devarayana Durga. Big wide highway and
as much as i remember i neva saw too much of traffic on that route. So
we can decide on anything.
