An idea to buy a surprise gift without knowing what size to buy, perhaps? Bicycles make great gifts, but not great surprise gifts.  Correct size is a tricky question and also the actual make/model; nothing can be worse than gifting a high-end bike, only to have the recipient wish they'd been given a different model or make!  If you want to ask Santa for a bike, don't just say 'shiny new bike' but mention make, model, and size! :)

Hello all,

Actually the bike was brought for someone who apparently moved to US. I talked to Decathlon guys and it seems there is nothing they can do to get it resold.

I had bought BTwin Triban 3 and found out that the size was wrong for me. After about a month and half out of curiosity I just called up the branch to explain my situation. To my surprise they told me they could exchange it for the correct size but from new stock. And they exchanged the bike, but I had to pay the difference amount as the new stock price was a little higher. However I had not used the bike much except maybe two rides and I had the original bill.

It is worth talking to a proper person. Even the CEO is reachable through email.
