Nandi Hills Active Social Day2: Traffic free tomorrow as well!

Hi All, 

It was a fantastic day on Nandi today! In the absence of vehicular traffic, you could almost hear the fresh air sing along with the chirping birds! Thanks to everyone who turned up today to make it a great event. Thanks to all authorities including police and local administration, especially the Cikkaballapur MLA Dr. Sudhakar for making it happen.

We have another opportunity to enjoy the heavenly experience on Nandi with another traffic free day tomorrow. 

We are going to utilize this opportunity and do a BAR race on Nandi tomorrow. Show up and race, ride, run or just walk up.

Come one and come all.. Please share in all your other cycling, running and trekking groups as well! 

PS: We tried talking to the police to see if the barricades can me moved close to the base instead of at Karahalli cross and the other end is the road from Doddaballapur. But they are of the opinion that the current set up is better to managing the traffic without creating chaos at the base. Karahalli cross barricades are 4k from the base while Doddaballapur side ones are less than a kilometer. You can get to that side by driving around Nandi via Nandi village (around 12k loop). So, please plan accordingly.

Thank you, Dr. Arvind, Manjula for your fabulous work  and all the rest of the people, politicians and most of all police , who were very efficient and in force, at every bend, and in between.

We really enjoyed, including Fatima, my wife and Padma, our student from Bangalore bicycling school..Great day out in perfect harmony with nature !!

This really is a great initiative and must be whole heartedly supported by one and all..
