Sub:     Invitation to the Environment Awareness & Promotion Programme being organized on Saturday, 28th Feb. 2009 at the Army Public School, Kamaraj Road, Bangalore

Eco-Watch has been addressing key environmental issues and concerns in Bangalore and other parts of the city for the last ten years. The centre has been working with various agencies such as the corporates, institutions, government, research institutions and others to reach out to a larger section of the community. Urban environmental issues have also been highlighted in the city, especially by sensitizing the younger generation to care for our environment.

In this background we wish to inform you that Eco-Watch is organizing a one-day awareness campaign involving exhibition, display of information and education material, workshops, film screening, presentations, etc., at the Army Public School Saturday on 28th Feb. 2009. The focus of this programme is to create awareness about the current status of Bangalore’s environment and initiate a dialogue among the younger generation about the immediate steps to be taken and role of youth in conservation. A cycle rally is also being organized during the event. Various agencies such as Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and others will be participating in this event. Few saplings will also be planted at the school premises along with school students.

In this background and being a strong supporter of our green initiatives we hereby invite you to be a part of this programme on Saturday, 28th Feb. 2009 at the Army Public School (near Commercial Street), Kamraj Road, Bangalore.

The programme details are enclosed along with this letter for your kind information.

Thanking you,

Sincerely,
