Group, This email (as all my emails) comes without any malice. I have seen many people spelling bike as byke and biking as byking. The bi in bicycle refers to two, as in bicycle has two wheels. A google search further revealed:

Thanks,
Yogesh.

Weather its Byke or Bike depends on how far the 'y' or the 'i' key is on keyboard from the finger that i am going to use to press it.

I am lazy to this extent.

...I thought that people on this mailing list (sorry, maylyng lyst) were typing "byke" to distinguish "bike" as in "bicycle" from "bike" as in "motorbike", so I decided to follow convention...and now I find that it's also "ryding"....if it's a deliberate thing, I have no problem followyng yt, otherwyse I wyll go back spellyng yt properly!

Har! I just read the biker caste system discussion and so many people
were using "byke" that I wondered if I was way behind on my bike
slang.

It's great if you're a bitch dyke, boy dyke or bi dyke, more power and
all... but when you say "ride my byke" or "byke lane" or "byking to
work", I get VERY confused.
