I was tempted to write this technical blog : http://www.opendro.com/2016/10/how-steep-can-you-climb.html

I will be happy to hear any flaw in my calculation. Note, it is a theoretical limit assuming one has a leg of steel. I have excluded the possibility of using some power in the upward stroke as I hate cleats ;)
