Friends...my biggest scare for this RACE is all about PUNCTURES, the
TOOLS REQUIRED / BEST WAY to REPAIR THEM QUICKLY

Being a novice...request some cues on:

1. do we carry the puncture repair kit/spare tube throughout the RACE
or do we create ONE point of service for ourselves

2. If yes to above then can we keep our stuff at the 'Refresh Point /
TC / Pit Stop' with the volunteers?

3. How many 'Refresh Point / TC / Pit Stop' points along the 5 KM LAP?

4.Will the 'Refresh Point / TC / Pit Stop' support us with Foot Pumps
(esp for ppl with basic/cheap hand pumps that may not be sufficient
for required PSI)

5. Do we repair the puncture with/without removing the wheel (am
scared to remove the wheel since I've found it very difficult to
adjust the disc brakes setting on my Hercules ACT107)

Will appreciate all the tips that can come my way...

Am all excited at my FIRST ever TRIAL RIDE/RACE..look forward to
meeting/participating...

Carry a spare tube, puncture kit (tyre levers, patches, file/sandpaper, rubber cement), and a minipump. The race marshals will be totally occupied in other chores, and cannot help the riders on these matters. Prefill ur tires w the right psi before arriving. Or else u'll have to beg and borrow others' pumps.

Its best to carry it on urself, as u can fix ur problems as and when they appear. The pit stop will be a mess if everyone drops their stuff there. And we dont have an inventory management system out there. Best is to stuff into a saddle bag. If u dont have one, u can put it in a tiny lightweight backpack. In case u do leave stuff at the aid station, we'll do our best at monitoring it. But, its not our sworn responsibility.

3. How many 'Refresh Point / TC / Pit Stop' points along the 5 KM LAP?

There will be just one pit stop. We have just enough volunteers for that.

We cant assure u that. But if someone is willing to drop his pump at the station and let others use it, then u r lucky.

Fixing a flat without removing the wheel seems an equally hard ordeal
