best cycle for less than 12K

Hi friends,

Can you suggest any good byke for less than 12k? Its for a friend of mine(girl), mainly for city ride, short distance travel and keeping herself fit. I suggested rr 5.0/5.1.

But may be hybrid is good for her. I do not have any idea of hybrids.

Your suggestions/inputs are welcome

Price of spoterra have soared up like anything in a year... around 24K now.
Montra jazz comes for 16k.

@Guru - And yes these choices are very good option. And also worth investment for sure.

If the usage is only intended for city biking, this one is also excellent choice if you consider the price.

Riverside /Trail lady 12 are the only 1's in the budget. Will ask her to test ride.

Schwinn spoterra is close 24k so out of budget.
