How did you come to this conclusion. Gel saddle cover is good only for city commutes. For longer rides the lesser the cushion the better. You don't see much cushioning on the expensive race bikes, do you?

It seems like you have not found the best way to enjoy your cycle rides yet. I know people who have given up cycling because they were misguided which in turn made their cycling experience not enjoyable. Hope you are not one of those.
