40mm stem on a road bike

I intend to change my 100mm stem to a 40mm stem on my sport1.

has any1 tried short stems on road bikes,

how does it handle?

ne suggestions of gud brands?

ne one has a spare n wants to sell it?

I had a 40MM downhill stem on my MTB but I found the handling to be
very tricky [ Especially the last minute changes in direction that
you do often on busy roads ] and reverted back to the longer stem
after about a month.

Never done it or seen it, but I think it would be pretty dicey,
especially if its an aggressive racing geo bike.

Shortest that I have seen on a road bike is 75mm which came stock on
my wife's small sized road bike.
