KSTRC is the best bet.
I have tried this twice without any issues between Mysore and
Bangalore.
You do not even need to remove the front wheel. Simply load your bike
in standing position and tie it to the beams inside.
This way it will not move when the bus is in motion.
To make it more secure you can raise the saddle to the point that it
rests just under the ceiling of the luggage compartment.
Best thing is to arrive at the starting point early and find the best
place for your bike.
It might get difficult to fit it in when the space is taken by other
luggages.

- I came by Vovlo from Ooty with my trek after my Mysore-Masainagude
ride. The luggage space inside Airavat is quite big and it is divided
into two compartments by a frame. You will have to rest your cycle
onto this frame and tie it to the one of the rods of this frame ....
so take a small string and an old newspaper to place between the rod
and the spot of cycle which rests on the rod
- If you officially get a luggage done, it is less than 45 Rs. So if
the conductor troubles you for 100Rs, you can contact the TC and get
the luggage done
- I will be doing this route in opposite direction this saturday. I
will let you know my experience
cheers,
Vivek

During the 1st month end long ride, around 5 of us boarded the 9.30pm multiaxle Volvo at MysoreHe charged us the regular ticket fee + additionally Rs 50/- for each one of our cyclesFantastic 1st month end long ride and an absolutly troublesome return ride.No scratch mark to any of the cyclists.Around 12 midnight we were at MajesticI agree with Chiddu, if u start from Mysore bus depot (bangalore to mysore) in the ticket counter we need to buy the ticket for us and there will be a glass counter where the luggage charges are collected. In this case the conductors can't help us much and we may have to shell more money at the glass counter as cycles are considered luggage, occupies more space and hence charged more.Guna
