If the condition of the Trek 3700 is good (which year model is it?), i would definitely go for the 3700. But make sure that the frame size fits you

From a very high level, one's a mountain bike and the other is a
hybrid. I think if you're interested in a mountain bike, the Hercules
K10 is also worth checking out:

5.1 is a better package than act 110 plus. Btwin bikes are very well put together compared to any other brand

Vijay,

Even my friend had the same type of confusion btw RR 5.0 & Hercules ACT 110+.  Finally he went to ACT100+ which is really good.   And 3700 is uncomparable.  As Sudir said, if condition of 3700 is good and fits yr size, go for it.

Thanks,
Dhanasekaran

+1 for going with trek 3700 - closest btwin bike that can compare with it is rr 5.2, not 5.0 or 5.1

+1. And its a tough battle between the 3700 vs rockrider 5.2.

On another note, for commuting and occasional century rides imho the 5.1 is more than sufficient.

But then i remember reading someone got a new bike, a schwinn. I wonder if this query was for the same person!

Shankar
