Teaching adults how to cycle : BBS Cubbon Park session 4th May 2025

Bangalore Bicycling School, Cubbon Park Session, Sunday 4 May 2025

The hot summer continued, despite the friday evenig heavy rain ! Band Stand lively with a music performance. We did a Cubbon circluar also after a long time, 7 students successfully completed it, congratulations to everyone.

Trainers : Ali, Parag, Vinay

Hello : Shaurya and Samskruthi with Dad Kumar

Circular Riders : Viyaan, Prachiti, Aishwarya, Vibha, Rukmini, Dilip, Shweta escorted by trainers Ali, Vinay, Parag

Newbies :

Ananya: The Eco and Data science major started with static banancing and then moved on to scooting, needs a bit more practice to glide smoothly.

Hemisha: Started a bit slowly woth balancing, bit picked up pace in scooting, though struggled a bit wth braking, and tended to use her feet to stop.

Geshna : Tushara's younger sister, was star of the day ! started with scooting and got the balance and started pedaling.. need more practice

Khushal : Enthusiastic boy, 'inaugurated' the new addition small bike (Vinay +Ali). Scooting basics look good.

Monisha: , A walk in came with her friend. Already knew cycling so just freshed her skills

Seniors:

Aishwarya: Came on a rental bike for the circular, and rode confidently.

Chethana : Came after a gap . Continued with her scooting to balance. Work in progress !

Chintan - Continued to learn scooting on Ali's foldie. He has put sincere efforts. need more practice

Dilip: Continued with turns and reducing the left shouder lurch. Did the Circular

Pranika: The brave 6 year old came to practice today, despite being bitten by a stray dog last week, and having to take 4 rabies vaccinations. She continued with zig zags and learning how to brake safely.

Prachiti: learnt safe stoping and turning, circles, and started with hand signaling. She joined us for the Circular.

Richa : The smiling cool lady scooting patiently for a while and has no anxiety, but sheer determination to learn ! Her quip of the day :" I will join the Cubbon Circular one day "

Rukmini : Practiced turns and a bit of hand signaling, she is ready for the cubbon circular.

Shriya: Continued with zig zags and turns, and safe start/stop. Could not do Circular today, since start is a bit shaky. Should be fine in couple of weeks !

Shwetha - Continued to ride comfortably both up and downhill, and did zig zags before joinig the circular ride.

Viyaan: The 9 year old chess prodigy was a bundle of energy, and came for the circular.

Tushara : Continued with scooting
