Mountain Bikes in the range of TREK 6000.

Hi All ,

I always wanted to own a TREK 6000 . The "black beauty" has always given me the goose bumps whenever i look at her on my computer screen .
Now i think the time has come for me to realize it . I have been fixated on it for more than couple of years now .

But before i spend  my hard earned money  , i would like to try out other mountain bikes in the same range .
So please suggest me which are the mountain bikes , i should try out .

I would like to know the opinion of  other TREK6000 owners about their bike.
