HI All,
I have decided to to buy rockrider 5.2. Today i inquired from decathlon showroom, they are selling at 21K (exclusive of any accessories). Is there any other showroom in bangalore where i can get it at lesser price.
Also, from the earlier post i get to know that we can get group discount at decathlon. Can some one provide information about this kind similar schemes. And please chip me in if there is some group is already planning for the same.

Thanks

Pranav

With Decathlon now become B2C than B2B, you no longer need membership to buy there..

Few years ago when I bought my RR5.2, I paid 14 K !! It's appreciated quite well in the last couple of years.. Hoping if I ever trade it, I will get back my original investment :)

It is still B2B for online purchase. Thus only members can buy online at discounted rates.

Hi All,
I am terribly confused now... I started with RR 5.0, almost made up my mind for RR 5.2(20K) . But I am starting to feel that I should go for Trek 3700 (27K). Is 7K worth it...

Please help me...

Thanks

Is 7K worth it...

Depends on what you want from the bike. For me, RR 5.0 is sufficient. Spending a further 19K wouldn't seem worth, though the Trek is a better bike

Sorry if this confuses more, but you may want to have a look at KHS bikes also. Very value for money and in the price range you are looking for. Also sometime back Venkatesh (Wheelsports) had posted offers on Merida bikes, check if the offers are still running.

You buy online. http://www.decathlon.in/MOUNTAIN-BIKES-ROCKRIDER-52-BLACK (available for 18999). You need to be a member to be able to buy online. I don't know when they will open their online portal to everyone.

Now it is 19,999.. on decathlon online store, however decathlon physical store is also selling at the same price. ..

Components wise 3700 and 5.2 are almost same, while main difference comes in the sitting posture.. With RR, a person has to bend forward a little bit, while Trek, requires straight sitting posture, which people say is bit more comfortable on flat roads. And it is the other way around for slopes...

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks
Pranav

Depends on the frame size too. If you buy a gigantic RR 5.2 you'll be sitting straight. If you pull out the headset spacers in a Trek, you'll be bending a lot.

Finally bought Trek 3700 from BOTS.... Rode from jaynagar to  whitefield... 20Kms :-) .. not quiet used to small saddles, so my bums hurts a lot while driving....

Following are the reasons for opting it:
1) Brand value
2) Good resale value, if i feel biking is not my cup of tea.
3) And as per BOTS, this bike has long lasting components, which i think is must, considering the busy schedule of all of us, we can't get time to get the bike repaired very often.

Thanks to all of you.. for helping me in choosing the right bike....

Thanks
Pranav
