Normally, I tip the boys in the foothill without hesitation before
starting the climb itself. So, I guess they are generally happy. I had
done this mountain around 4 or 5 times, all in the night.
This is less than 2 hours trek, with neat path. We don't need any
backup car for food and drinks. If you pack a piece of bun and a
packet of biscuit with 2 litres of water, that should be sufficient
for to-and-fro with overnight stay (we had generally carried tent of
our own).
