Around Blore on Nice road - Are bikes allowed

Hi,

I was plotting and thinking that someday, I would head on the Nice
road around Blore for a ride. But someone had told me that cycles are
not allowed on Nice road since it is a toll road ! Is it so?

I was thinking many our National highways around Blore also are
toll'ed, but still biking isn't a problem, why should Nice road be
special.
Have any of you gone biking on that road?

I'm pretty sure that they don't allow cyclists, but is there any way
that we can get them to allow us at least on the shoulder? Maybe
charge us the 2 wheeler toll also? Would be a great road to ride on.

How about jumping into a truck before the toll and out of it once it crosses? :)

They are not allowed. However I rode on it last year September after convicing the guy at the tool booth. But it is a pathetic road to ride, no scenery , no greenery and a rather monotonous view after a while with only trucks for company Yes you can hit good speeds but speeds not everything.

I used to ride the NICE route a year back every weekend. Never had a
problem. But yes, the toll people told that 'cycles' are not allowed.
Just give a smile and ride away. The case was different at the Bang-
Mys exp toll way at Banashankari (not sure the exact spot). The toll
person asked for toll or bribe! Even though I managed to go through
the exp toll way, I was completely rejected on the third attempt!
Never went that way after that and its been 1 year now. If we (the
group) plan to contact Ashok Kheny and get a way for us to go in, I am
sure all of us can 'participate'. What say all?

Guys, I still ride on the NICE road. You need to get in on the Sompura
toll booth on the NICE link road. This one is still not manned so
getting in is not a problem. Last I rode on NICE was around a month
back. When you get out on the other side, they will ask how you got in
- just mention you got in at Sompura and there will be no issues. I
have got out at pretty much most of the toll gates without a problem -
Bannerghatta road, PESIT, Magadi road and NH4. As Chiddu says, it gets
boring after a while so I too don't do it as often as I used to
earlier.

I had gone through NICE road in March this year. Guy at toll booth
said bikes were allowed only before 8 am.
But my very talkative friend kinda sweet talked him [it was later than
8 am ] and he let us through.
It is a very easy, very funny ride; the road is good [hence nice :) ]
- no sweat even at noon.
