Hi,

Saw the new road bike from bsa at RR Madivala
When i went to get my discs fixed. It looked pretty good. Frame is made of 6061 aluminium alloy. It has 2200 components. Frame geometry seemed a lil relaxed. The crankset was a 50/39 roadie double. Priced at around 19k. Was happy to see a decent looking Indian road bike. Also heard TI plans to release a full carbon bike at around 60k shortly.

Thanks and Regards,

Nice. Good that indian companies are slowly catching up.
With the kind of turnover they have I am sure they have all the
infrastrucure to build good bikes.

Cheers

If this bike is made by BSA, I think it's the most silent product launch ever. Can't find anything on the web.

Given the penchant for TI to use rotten web designers who think
Flash-based sites are be-all end-all, I doubt they have the ability to
keep their website up to date. I mean look at Track and Trail. Their
webpages are riddled with inconsistencies (e.g.

Go back to designing paper brochures, you Photoshop and Flash-wielding
maniacs who moonlight as "web designers", or at least try to
understand the medium of the Web!

<Slightly OFF-TOPIC> but could not resist it.

Sree,
The link you mentioned opens fine in IE and Netscape. Basically because of a stupid HTML code they have used. Just read the source and you will Kill the programmer when you see him. [BIGGER ROFL]

Yesterday I checked the BSA Kruze cycle in Chennai BSA outlet. Pretty much similar to other road bikes in the same range. Cost 18k.
Shimano Sora gear.
700 * 23C tyres.
Size M.
no other sizes would be manufactured it seems.
no pamphlet and the launch was not announced too in any form of media. very few cycles launched as of now.

saw this bike at RR cycles showroom at madivala last friday..
few points to add...
1. sathish, a small correction...Kruze comes with shimano 8 speed shifters on the rear (Not Sora)
2. the front fork looks sturdy(looks better than B-twin entry level road bike),
3. V- Brakes
4. 6061 alloy rims
5. Alloy frame

If BSA meant giving a competition to the B-twin entry level roadbike, i think the objective is met keeping  in mind the price and the components except for the unique frame size.

 regards
Yateesh

Hey, I saw this at RR Madiwala some days back as well. Its definitely
on the heavy side, and graphics is certainly not all that great at
all. Interesting bit is the slightly bulged out seat tube, sortof
reminiscent of more aero bikes maybe? definitely gives it quite a
characteristic feel, somewhat. I remember sora shifters tho, not sure
about the derailers. RR quoted 22K for it. wheels look really sad,
even with the aero profile. cost cutting i guess. felt the heaviest
amongst the roadpro, urbano and the btwin, even heavier than the steel
KHS, somewhat closer to the fomas bikes. any info about the actual
weight?
