Got my Hercules Ryders Neo yesterday from Shah Cyclez Fitnezz (Inner
Ring Road ).
Within this price range, its one of the best available in market
( IMO). Its been recently launched by hercules.

Did 20 Kms today ( to and fro) from Home (HSR) to Office (EC).
It was quite amazing to ride it. No strain at all.

Hello folks, My first post to the group and a new biker from HSR. Thanks to all who contribute to this fantastic group.

Thanks to Prashant. After reading your post I checked out this cycle over the weekend (Sun) at Shah Cyclez Fitnezz and bought the cycle the same day. I agree for the price range I find it to be a good cycle. I have started commuting to work (Koramangala Sony world) from HSR this week. It is a short ride and it is working out well for me. I hope to start riding over the weekends soon to take on longer rides. I am glad I saw your post and checked out this bike. I don't have much to complain yet but I would have liked if there was more choice on the frame size, they only had the medium size for me. The bell is annoying as I find it creaking while riding.

I had also checked out other stores the prior day (BOTS, Fitness on Wheels). I found good advice at the stores but was disappointed to not find entry bikes there in the 10k price range. For someone just starting out and unsure of how the commute by bike experience will be like I feel it would be good to see some 'starter' bikes/kits such as this cycle at these fine stores :). When I do upgrade or need accessories I will be sure to check out these stores again.

I purchased protective/post surgery eyeglasses from vasan eyecare hospital in koramangala for 75 rupees to keep the dust out. There is still some gap between the frame and eyes and doesn't keep out the dust entirely but is much better than none at all. If anyone knows of any clear glass goggles similar to swimming goggles (but with bigger glasses) with a elastic band and where I could get them that would be great.

I am planning to start slow and easy with some longer rides over the weekends (30-50kms) before taking on 100km rides. If anyone around HSR wants to join and/or if you have any suggestions on good routes in south bangalore (on a hybrid bike) please let me know. I checked the shared document "Rides around Bangalore" but only see a couple 50km rides.

Thanks!
Rishi
