Hi Folks,

I cycled to Lansdowne in Garhwal Himalayas this weekend.

The ride was a beautiful but was marred by extreme heat (42 degrees Celsius) and had everything in it- the heat, the thirst, the blood and the sweat!

Thats a brilliant write up mate. Proof that India has some of the best terrians/roads/picturesque views on offer. We just need to explore them. Thanks for sharing them.

Manasij, just read your account - very well narrated and great
pictures. I totally agree about the wife part. Am coming down to
Ghaziabad in October for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony. Need
to see if I can manage to have a good ride on the Saturday before the
event. I grew up in Ghaziabad (well Sahibabad actually - next to
Airforce Station, Hindan). I used to cycle to school for close to 6
years. Would be good to get back to the roads from the childhood
days.

I still haven't got my invite to the TFN 2010. Hope I make it!!
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Regards,
Shashi
