Safe bicycle locks... a myth ?

One video led to another... and got me really worried.

what can we use to secure the bike then ? Currently I use the Btwin 3-in-1 cable lock (2 which are keyed, and 1 which is a combination lock). I hear that those are very easy to cut through. Also, the big U locks, don't seem to be very secure either, and seem to be very heavy to carry around.
