Brevet on MTB with Original MTB Tyres

Hi All,

I am just curious to know who have completed Brevet Race in December on MTB with Original MTB tyres and how much time they have taken it.

Because I don't have Road bike and I don't want to put slicks on my Trek 4300. I want to know how feasible on Trek 4300 to explore 200km cycling within defined time limit.

The best time on my trek 4300 with default bontrager knobbies for 200 on mysore highway, was ~8.5 hrs

IMO, the brevets can be done on any bike.... We even saw Amar ride a singlespeed Atlas at an awesome pace on the mandya brevet, beating many roadies(myself included) to the finish

But, the longer the ride gets, the better a rider u need to be, to maintain a good speed

Gross time?? Thats crazy!! That was my "riding" average to mandya and back..
