Teaching adults to cycle BBS Cubbon Park session 1 Feb 2026

Bangalore Bicycling School, Cubbon Park Session, Sunday 1 Feb 2026

A warm and sunny day, and the park busy with the Agri walk, partly in the teaching area, but thankfully it was over soon, and we had the area free. We had almost 1 cycle per learner for most of the session, and by the end a few students were feeling tired and sore, so we had a nice stretching session after parking the bikes. Bhoomika has promised to lead the next one.

Newbies :

1 Dhanvi- Started with basic balance and tried to scoot.

2 Dwithi- Came with her grandfather. Started with basic balance and tried to scoot.

3 Yukthi- Dhanvis elder sister, practiced scooting, though she said she know how to cycle.

Ongoing Learners:

1 Anuha- Came after a long break, practiced riding up and down by herself.

2 Kavya - Progressed to scooting with one leg, and also half pedaling, should be ready to pedal next week.

3 Kalpana - Continued with scooting and started half pedaling.

4 Koushani - Continued pedaling today and then started on circles. Was able to ride despite the crowd of walkers, despite initial concerns.

5 Moksha - She started to scoot towards the end of the session and learnt half-pedal also. Struggled a bit because of her leg sprain and cast but should be good with scooting in the next session.

6 Megha - Vihaans mom, progrssed to scootoing with one leg and half pedaling, and then towards the end , did full pedaling also.

7 Salma- The smiling cheerleader of BBS turned up with her sunny smile, took a few rounds, and encouraged Roopa from Agriwalk to try harder.

8 Shankari : She came late, and did a bit of pedaling today, the lurch has reduced.

9 Vihaan- Practiced scooting without pedals, and then also with pedals attached.

10 Yashawanth- Continued with pedaling up and down, managed well.
