I was just wondering if one can find Tandem Bicycles in Bangalore. Or if there already are tandemists in Bangalore. Would love to know about their experience and specially their view on the following point mentioned by Sheldon Brown, 'A tandem is the ultimate rush for cyclists who enjoy the sensation of high-speed cycling' in his article http://sheldonbrown.com/tandem.html.

how-on-earth does that looong bike balance on such a short side stand?

What I meant was that is probably not a single long chain?

Yep. And tandems made abroad also support multiple speeds.

This one does seem to have two chains, but I've never seen a "proper"
tandem with such a long chain.

Though, according to

this is something like a "crossover front drive".
