Invitation to a leisure and fun Halloween Ride on Oct-31

Hey,

We are conducting a Halloween Ride this coming Saturday (Oct-31st), where we do a leisure 20-km ride through Bangalore wearing costumes! The details are below: 

THE RIDE: The Lumos Halloween Ride is a 20 km long, leisure bicycle ride through the city. Check out the route at https://www.strava.com/routes/1306513.

THE AFTER-RIDE PARTY: The ride is followed by snacks and treats at the Lumos Headquarters (Indiranagar), not to mention, a horror movie screening.

DRESS CODE: Come dressed in a Halloween costume (or dress up your bike)! Best-dressed Bike and Rider duo win Prizes.

FOR YOUR SAFETY: Riders without helmets, willl be made to wear a pumpkin on their heads, instead! To put it simply, no helmet, no ride!

That is a loss for us, Dr. Ali you do add a lot of color to the ride! But we'll keep it on. We're planning for the last leg of ride to come through 100ft road on a Saturday evening. It'll be crowded (only the last 1.5kms) but it'll also make sure the crowd notices all the dressed up cyclists and even clicks a few pics!

Hey, Do get along your Darth Vader mask. We know of dragons and skeletons and witches coming to the ride, Dark Vader would be welcome too! 

For everyone else, do RSVP for the ride at https://www.facebook.com/events/811888502253242/ . It is a simple 20km route through CBD. We have also put up suggestions for places where you can rent some costumes, though feel free to be creative! We are planning on some munchies followed by a Horror comedy movie (Shaun of the dead) post the ride.

So looks like the route is Domlur-OldAirportRd-Marathalli-KRPuram-Indiranagar-Domlur.

I might not be able to get to the start point in time. Will try to join on OldAirportRd (though the ride goes by my place later (between Marathahalli & KRPuram :)).

Looking forward to this group ride... been a while for me.

Thanks Gandharv / Lumos for arranging this ride & the after party. It was fun to meet / ride along / chat with other cyclists. And the food was awesome. :) Kudos for everything that you all put into this.

I got to hear a bit from Chirag Singhal about his bicycle tour from Jaipur all through to Vietnam. Very inspiring. (Chirag -- would love to hear or read more about your experiences on this and other tours.)

I think I had heard about Lumos, though did not recall offhand. Was good to know about some of the work you are doing -- backpacks with solar panels for charging on-the-go. Look forward to chatting more with you guys on that sometime. And also more such rides/events.
