Fifth hands on session with the cycles at Lakkasandra. We moved the 7  advanced/intermediate students- Pintu, Nandini, Aleeya, Revathi,Shallu,Umera,Mokshitha  to the small dead end lane next to the school and practiced there. After a while, the advanced students Pintu, Nandini, Aleeya then moved on to riding in the main road, including all the way to the edge of the Bannerghatta road, I had to do some running to stay with them. Indu helped the intermediate students Revathi, Umera,Mokhshitha and Shallu learn safe stopping and half pedaling, after which Revathi moved to practicing on the short stretch of the main road, though she needs a bit more practice to be confident on the road. Umera and Shallu tried on the main road with Revathi, but were unable to stay to the far left, and we moved them back to practicing pedaling straight up and down in the small lane, trying to stay on the left. The others Abhignya, Deekshita, Thipakka,Divya practiced scooting, and half pedaling inside the school campus. Deekshitha is able to pedal now,and will move to the small lane next week. Abignya and Divya came after a 2 week break, and practiced scooting. Thippakka is still struggling , due to her short height and bit of a learning challenge. Back inside the campus, we also tried circles ad figure 8's with the advanced/intermediate students, but there is a space constraint to do it properly. We ended with Indu handing out candy to the students and the teachers. The students remained enthusiastic and energetic in their efforts, and some of them were confident enough to ask Indu if we can have a cycle race !  Continuing the good work in 2026, we hope to have most of the students riding by the time we end the sessions on Feb 7th.
