We are having some technical difficulties with our registration system - hence an email to everyone who is potentially racing tomorrow.
  • Race starts at 7:30am sharp.
  • Registrations start at 6:30am and we intend to wrap up by 7:15am
  • A 5 min safety briefing and we race!
  • Race registration fee - Rs 300 (correct change would be nice)
  • Helmet are mandatory. We recommend gloves, puncture kits, spare tubes electrolytes, some food and your personal cheerleaders for the race.
  • We race in forest area - please do not litter, tease wildlife or be a general PITA at the venue. We are nice but the forest officials are not!
Be on time. Its a long race and we want to ensure we all get back home to pop a pint.
  • The race is a 60km endurance race (4 laps x 15km)
  • Once the race leader crosses the finish line the race is over and positions are calculated depending on how many laps you have finished. We will touch upon more on this tomorrow at the race start.
We have an exciting list of organizations which have worked hard to make this happen. In no particular order - Leapstart, DaVita Nephrolife, CamelBak India, The Sufferfest, Tour of Nilgiris, Disc-O-DeewaneBOTS Racing Program. Not forgetting tons of bikers, photographers and BBCh fans who help us make the races awesome. Thank you all.

Important points to note

Inline image 1

The easiest way to get to race start is via Outer Ring Road(ORR)/Hennur Bagalur Road junction marked in the picture above (The Whitefield guys may beg to differ)
Chagaletty - the right turnoff on the Hennur Bagalur road to get to the race start
Forest Officer office - stay clear of this location and DONOT park outside this office. We have a designated location for parking.

The Race route kml file attached with this email.

Distances to race start point from Hebbal Flyover
1. If you are on the international Airport road, turn right onto the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Hebbal Flyover
- Hebbal Flyover TO Hennur Bagalur Road/ORR junction: about 5.6 kms
2. Turn left onto Hennur Bagalur Road
- Hennur Bagalur Road/ORR junction TO Chagaletty: about 10.5 kms
3. Turn right at Chagaletty
- Chagaletty TO start point: 4 kms (good village roads).

If you have any questions or issues you can post up on the BBCh page or be there by 6:15am tomorrow morning and the organizing team will be more than happy to assist you.

This - http://goo.gl/maps/cn4aA  is also an OK sort of road if someone is riding from ORR. Do note that it is a mud road at the end before getting into the race start.

There IS NO connection from Mandur if someone is looking at Google maps and thinking that one can reach from Mandur. There is a non existent road there and if someone is riding their off road bike they may enjoy it :)

This is an alternate route, which you could take if you're coming from Banaswadi/Indiranagar/CV Raman Nagar

May be if the temp were too high we would have cancelled the race :).no ways an event gets cancelled untill the situations are adverse.

Now with the rain the race is surely on.

Is the 10k run cancelled because of the rain or any other event for that matter?

Thanks Modi for the confirmation.

Right, since this is off-road I thought heavy rain might matters.

I am participating for the first time and I'm just a amateur weekend rider, I was not sure what is the right adverse situation a race can be called off, so I thought it's better to confirm.

Anyone from Banaswadi joining tomorrow morning? I will start from Fire Station.

cheers,
dip
