3rd stage.. another guy is there from Kamakya as well.. (I missed the
name.. he lost merida bike and got it later from Times Cycle to
Work) !!

so.. keep in touch !!

I go to office PESIT to BTM (near udupi garden) every saturday on my
Schwinn sporterra ...

Cool... I was really wondering whether i was alone for all these GGI
rides (short rides).. We can really start riding together.. Near
BigBazar , ICICI Bank or even PESIT college ;) will be nice !! These
days, i ride in the evenings (after 7) ... I start from Kerekodi bus
stand (behind pesit), get into ringroad.. go till Nayandahalli signal,
then to Hosakerehalli signal.. then to ittmadu signal.. then to
kamakya (big bazar signal), U turn and get back to the same place...
and then few rounds here and there.. total around 10-12 km !! (Because
of the uphill, will be tired after these up-s and downs..)

You can plan anytime after 7 on weekdays or afternoons on Saturdays
and anytime on Sundays

hi all

That's a good idea to meet near Big Bazaar. Lets start to ride in
group as we (GGI) do on sundays. I too ride in the evenings after
7.00pm daily ( alternate weeks ) since I work late hours in the
evening alternately. Let the cycling tribe grow!!!!!

The Banyan tree is around 10-12 km from PES (may be off by another couple of km). The road after you take a turn at Rajarajeswari dental college is one of the best I have seen in Bangalore filled with rose gardens on both sides of the road (can you believe it??). Though the road is only two lane, the lack of traffic compensates for it.

Guys, why cant we add manchanabale dam too to the ride, I heard its very nice too

total distance one way to machinbele is around 41kms (upto to water near military camps)

we were finding out people from 3rd stage..so, we wanted to meet up
some place and then start for a ride.. rather than going for a race
or ... So, we wanted to meet up some place like BigBazaar, PESIT in
BSK 3rd stage and start..

My main intention is to ride together on weekdays/weekends who are
from this area..
That helps us ride together for GGI rides and other rides happening
across bangalore. So, we feel more safer than riding alone..

@rajesh, I think Vinay was telling if we are planning for a ride to
machinbele we will meet in Uttarahalli which is not so far from PESIT,
I don't see anything wrong in that.

Ok guys...For the first meeting, let's not plan an outing or anything long. Let's keep it simple. Simple...let's get together in front of PESIT (because bicyclists can assemble in front of PESIT without blocking traffic) around 6am and ride until Utarahalli circle. Simple. This will be our BSK 3rd stage's local Critical mass ride. Most ladies and gentlemen will turn up for a get-together and know-thy-neighbor type ride than a longer distance ride to Big Banyan Tree.

We can use the first ride to discuss our subsequent ride to Big Banyan Tree. What do you guys think?

Balu, You can still ride to Big Banyan Tree provided you don't mind doing a round-about-route. Let's meet in front of PESIT, Ride straight up to Padmanabhanagar Circle, Turn right at Devegowda petrol bunk, and ride on Uttarahalli road. Anyone wanting to turn back to BSK 3rd stage (or wherever) can ride back through Ittamadu layout (arch on Uttarahalli road) and go up the hill to Hero Honda show room on double road. Anyone who wants to ride to Big Banyan Tree can continue on Uttarahalli.

padmanabhanagar as most of them are planning to?

It is just another kilometer from BigBazaar...
Today is Wednesday. Lets plan soon.. Which ever place it is, i am

generally as an exercise between 6: 7:30 am ?

green) ride, long rides etc...
Even i am low on stamina, exactly one month since i got my bike.. But,
gone more than 350KM
When together, you wont know the distance covered..

Back after 24KM Ride (from my home ->PESIT and ride back)

Big thanks to Vikram for coming :) .. I couldnt see anyone there other
than vikram who replied here...

Big thanks to Venkatesh and his friend Deepak from Rajarajeswari
nagar.. They came there without replying to this thread...

Saw two guys passing PESIT without even looking at PESIT college :)
Dont know who they are.. whether the guys replied here or ....

So... we were just 4... Except vikram, others were not planned to go
to Big Banyan... Since no one to accompany, he also decided to take a
left turn at Uttarahalli road from Mysore road... [I have mentioned
before also that i have office today]

Sad that many one who put '+1' didnt turn up :) .. No issues...

But, Chetan (The original poster).. We expected you man....

Total Distance covered.. 24 KM.. Venkatesh and Vikram Bhatt (few more
kilometer as i took Ittmadu cross on Uttarahalli road)

Hi All,

I joined BBC just yesterday. I stay near janatha-bazaar/water-tank in
BSK 3rd Stage and have been commuting to work everyday on my merida
for the last 2 months [bsk to richmond circle ~8km one way].
Dang! I did my first ever long ride [solo] last Sunday and rode past
the new airport and back. I stayed over at my aunt's place in
yelahanka the previous night, as I did not want to stretch myself too
much.
Only, if I had joined BBC a week earlier, I could've made it to this
ride on saturday ;) See you all on the next ride whenever it happens!
