like i had put up we had our first ride today it was a poor turn up today ... only '3'

i taught many  would turn up.

Anyways we met up at 6.45am at veterinary college  set off to GKVK then ms palaya then rajankunte.

we set off towards doddabalapur to watch a weird species of bird called 'EMU' ie EMU farm then short break  then back to home

overall it was a 50+  ride.

It was fun!!

Do the jalahalli - ms palya - byalkere - vidyaranyapura - ms palya - jalahalli route.. Its awesome quiet nd scenic.. U get better routes if u go up to the ayurvedic institute from byalkere, near avalahalli state forest.. There's a hillock there which offers a splendid view

road which is nice too. And deviations off it will take you to
hessarghatta in a roundabout way (but scenic and calm)

Seriously, go through the Nandini sperm bank all the way to Rajanakunte and return via doddaballapur. There are a few broken roads but its very scenic and very quiet. Sudhir, I remember now that I haven't sent you the map for Shankar's road... will do it today..

today's ride was planned to nalluru which dint happen due to the issues in route  but we went to devanhalli  and then connected to the dodaballapur road which was very scenic!

there were 6 riders at the start n 2 riders left us at devanhalli to nandi hills!!

overall a good ride!!

Ride report:

I recently spent a week on refurbishing my road king and refitting it. I wanted a test ride spanning more than 50km and this looked appropriate. I motivated Rajiv to join us today morning.

Rajiv came to my room at 5:50 and we reached the rendezvous point by 6:25. Then began an hour long wait for the organizers of this ride to arrive! I never expected to test ride my road king in the 7:30 am hebbal traffic!

We finally set off on a 12 kph roll at 7:20am. The clearly plotted route wasnt so clear after all and I didnt like the concept of asking for directions from the beginning of the ride.

We were to rendezvous with two others at yelahanka old town. A sharp turn by puneeth onto me almost knocked me off my bike and onto an approaching bus! This was enough to get pissed off! I didnt really want to ride at 12-14 kph, cleated on my road bike and on a 6 lane national highway!

The temptation of seeing other riders buzz past us was irresistable! Somewhere near the airport toll gate, rajiv and I took the fateful decision to hit nandi instead of nallur fort..! 

The refurbishments worked perfectly and another 100 went into my fomas' record. We reached home at around 12pm..!

That route to hessarghatta is boring. Head to nandi on a road in between doddaballapur road and airport road. Its awesome
