Have you guys seen this? - https://labs.strava.com/heatmap/#13.12/77.60236/12.93179/hot/ride (bangalore cycling heat map)

The cycling heat map is probably not as useful as the running heat map(helps you find places where people are walking/jogging for exercise).

The cycling heat map of unknown places - places you are planning to do a cycling trip seems to be interesting, helps you figure out new routes - eg munnar - https://labs.strava.com/heatmap/#12.67/77.05727/10.04526/hot/ride

Wow, this is really cool, gives us a great view of us-vs-the-rest. Amazing to see the cycling culture in Europe in spite of the frigid weather. Beats my presumptions!

That said, we must also take into consideration the number of people who have been logging their rides on Strava. We Indian's may outnumber the rest of the world except a few other more densely populated countries pretty easily when it comes to real numbers.

Cheers
Santosh
