RIDE DETAILS

National Race ï¿½ 50 Km

The National Elite Men Race is a competitive race by CFI invitation only. Participants of this category compete for prize money.

Amateur Ride ï¿½ 25 Km / LG Green Ride ï¿½ 13 Km

These are non-competitive rides open to all (subject to the Age Eligibility mentioned above)

Corporate Ride ï¿½ 25 Km

This is a non-competitive ride for corporate employees and encourages mass participation.

Junior Ride ï¿½ 5km

This is a non-competitive ride for children from the age of 8 years to 13 years. A parent or guardian needs to register himself/herself along with the child (or group of children, as the case may be) and also accompany the child/group during the ride on the Event Day.

REGISTRATION FEE
Registration Fee for all the Ride Categories is Rs 300

BIKE HIRE

Limited cycles are available on a rent of Rs. 350. The cycles will be given ONLY on the event day and the payment for cycle hire can be made ONLY at the Expo on the 21^stï¿½and 22^ndï¿½of January 2011 (First-come-first-serve basis)

I believe last time, it was 26.x Km for those who registered for 40 Km
(cheaters). In spite of the race being not timed, they couldn't just
start the ride on time (too delayed that I just managed to reach home
before lunch). Not just worth it for the distance and the time wasted.

Last year in cyclothon was my first 'race'. I think it is important to have these events, its a good launching pad for a lot of cyclists to participate. The first exposure to a race...

Not many beyond BBC will know abt brevets, bbch etc. And I think BBC group covers only abt 5 percent of riding community in bangalore.

On the other hand, cyclothon will attract 1000s of cyclists. If we can use it as a good platform to promote cycling, bbc, brevets, etc etc, nothing like it... RR cycles, jayanth, deca definitely does 10x time biz than bots, but do they talk abt bbch, bbc, brevets etc?

Am game to wear bbc tees n ride the cyclothon,n if required, wrap a banner abt our groups/website n ride. Talk abt the groups at the holding area.

Imagine 50 plus riders in bbc tees riding the cyclothon as one group, am sure we may b able catch some attention, n hopefully get 20k riders to jump over the fence :)
