Third hands on session with the cycles at Lakkasandra. I scouted a small lane next to the school which has a dead and and no traffic, giving us a bit more space to learn, as the campus itself is too small for all the students to practice together. We split up the students into 2 categories. Advanced students Pintu, Nandini, Aleeya practiced pedaling, safe stopping, and turning in the small lane next to the school. Intermediate students practiced dynamic balancing and half pedaling. Two intermediate students Umaera and Revathi also got promoted to the outside lane to practice pedaling up and down, but they are not yet ready for turning. The others -Shallu, Mokshitha, Deekshita, Thipakka practiced scooting, and  half pedaling, and Shallu got to pedaling for small stretches by the end of the session. The students remained enthusiastic and energetic in their efforts. Star of the day was Revathi who mastered pedaling. Good progress also by Shallu,Revathi who managed to get balance right partially, but they need a bit more practice to ride unaided. We ended with handing out candy to the students and the teachers. The four teachers Shilpa, Shwetha,Raghavendra and Muniraju also worked actively with the students, and the principal Ms Manjula was also there to encourage everybody's efforts. A good start to 2026 !
