Use of Bio-enzyme to get rid of grease

This product works very well in getting rid of grease. I've tried it.

Grease from the bike you meant? If that is the case, it is great. I should try it.

For oils at home on kitchen table or hand, just rubbing and washing with a little bit of wheat flour works well. You know that I use wheat flour for my hair. Don't try if you have long hair - I haven't succeeded on my daughter's hair! Difficult to rinse off cleanly.

Speaking of grease and grease removal, it probably is worth mentioning that its considered a bad idea to use vegetable/animal fat/grease on bicycles, as it decomposes, as opposed to synthetic lubricants. That said, I'll probably try Open's wheat for the hair, but will probably stick to WD-40, to delube my chain! No Gandhiji and no wheat there! :D

No Doc. I didn't do experiments with my daughters. I did it on myself - no toothpaste, no soap, no shampoo, no lotion/cream, no deo, no perfume. I always needed some or other for the head. So, I tried atta which is cheaper and less smelly version of shikakai/arappu/besan. It worked very well for me. I also know from regular cooking how effective atta is in cleaning hands and kitchen slabs. After things have worked well on me, the next obvious thing is to tell my family to try too. Wife and daughter (second one) are also completely off everything except arappu/shikakai - more than a year by now. First daughter is already outside my control and she will do what she thinks right :-)

Challenge with atta is rinsing off the fibres. It is easy on short hair, but difficult in long hair - same as arappu too, but arappu comparatively easier. I just apply the atta and keep it for about 5 mins before I massage and rinse.

This SLS free solution is excellent for you health and also for the health of the water bodies in the city. Varthur lake has been in news for the flames and recently the smoke from around Belandur lake. If the water is toxic there it is due to what we use. If you switch your choices your houses grey water can directly be sent to a garden. If your houses grey water is not garden ready then you are hurting your system as well as the ecosystem :)

Process of making citrus peel bioenzyme

Proportion is 1:3:10
100 gms jaggery + 300 gms only citrus peels (orange, sweet lime, lime, pineapple no need to cut) +1 lt water

Mix all three in 2 lt PET bottle or any plastic container with lid. (Lid is required to keep insects out) Keep in cool dark place. Stir everyday as this is an aerobic process and release the gas.
In 3 mths it is ready.
Add pinch of yeast and it will be ready in 2 weeks.

It is ready when it stops releasing gas and you can see the peel would have turned to pulp. Let it settle and separate clear liquid for mopping and pulp for vessel or toilet cleaning.
