Hey Guys,

Thanks for the replies.

The Saris ones and hatches are quite good. I am actually looking for a roof top mountable one. i checked at adventure works who supplies thule, but he said there's nothing available for Swift as yet, and asked to look at the market for other makes.

Anand - can you refer me to the guy who deals with the taiwanese models.

Custom built however is music to the ears!

Thanks
Sharath.

I have the design almost ready in mind though. So what i need is following
1. A Machenical CAD Engineer who can put my imagination on paper
2. A fabricator.

Vivek, You already have a custom built roof mounted rack, please help!
Thanks and Regards,
~Ravi

I'm not sure of bike racks, but getting a typical luggage carrier
fitted to the Swift itself turned out to be a problem. My friends
roamed around JC Road. Most vendors was saying, "Switt ka carrier?
Nahi ata". Finally, some carrier was adapted to fit there. It came off
somewhere during the trip, and we had some inconveniences due to that.

If you succeed in finding a rack, then please share your findings.
They'll be useful to many !

Did you check the Thule ones? Methods automotive sells it (on Lavelle
Road). They pretty much have roof top mounted ones for all vehicle
models. I can give you the number of the person (if you want to look
at Thule as an option) who deals with these at Methods Automotive.

cheers

I also got the same response, most of the vendors say that " Swift ka bike carrier nahi aata " :(

Good news, I did check on the Thule website, they do have the roof top
mounted rack for Suzuki Swift. The question now is if Methods
automotive has it in stock. i did try getting in touch with Methods,
but the guy is not picking his mobile. Let me try sometime later...
