Hello :
Krishna
I seem to be getting comfortable teaching certain manuvers and had Akshay, Ritu and Reena as attentive students to start with, showing initial resting position, braking, balancing and scooting, before passing to other trainers as well as Harish who took over Ritu's lesson. Also assign and maximise saddle time for waiting students by rotating cycles.
Seniors were great bunch and we had about 6 rental cycles too, which they generously shared with others.
Komaldevi has driven two wheelers and was able to balance but could not hold a steady grip on the pedals with or without the footwear. She has promised to do some stationary cycle riding in BBMP park nearby.
Showed half pedalling too for upslope ride to some students.
Parag's report
Newbies
Ramya- Star of the day, she is Adyas mom and Ranjitas sister. She has never cycled before, but in a couple of rounds, she had mastered scooting, and then went on to do pedaling up and down, and even started with turning. One of the fastest learners we had till now. Her daughter Adya also did a race with her towards the end.
Adhya- Managed to cycle down and up comfortably on her own bike, but the brakes were a bit hard for her, she will get them fixed for next Sundays session.
Akshay- Took a bit of time to do scooting, but managed to crack it, and started with pedaling.
Anju- Started with static balancing and then moved on to scooting, but needs a bit more practice before she moves to pedaling.
Ruchita- Last learner of the day, she had ridden as a child, and wit Priyanka teaching her, managed to do scooting in a couple of rounds and started with pedaling.
Seniors
Ranjitha - Did zig zags and some turning.
Urmila- Did hand signaling on both sides, and even helped Nivetha learn hand signaling while turning. She even volunteered to ride all the way to the rental place to escort Swati who was not sure of riding back all by herself.
Nivetha- Mastered signaling while turning, With some help form Urmila.
Priyanka- Practiced turns, and then helped Ruchita to learn to scoot.
Shashwat- Got a rental bike and practiced turns and circles and started on hand signaling.
Sharath- Did Zig zags, circles and Learnt riding one handed. Will be doing signaling next.
Simran- Did some zig zags, needs a bit more practice to be ready for smooth turning and learning signaling.
Ningappa- A dedicated soul, he comes all the way from from Bidadi, and smilingly puts in a major effort to learn. Mastered riding and turning, he can move to signaling next. He also helped Akshay learn to pedal.
Shweta- She managed to comfortably ride straight up and down on a rental bike, and then started zig zags.
Swathi- Came after a break, and practiced riding up and down, and thezig zags. She struggled a bit on the upslope, needs a bit more practice and leg strength development.
