Looks like he is going on cry on Oprah, confess and fool people into believing that he was the victim.

He's a scheming guy. 'If' he admits to it, it will only be if he gets a chance to compete before his athletic career is done by age. Probably for the masters.

He also risks getting indicted for perjury, so he will want a guarantee against that from the Justice department too.

Aren't we all crying over something? We all make fuss about things which harms us in any way. I think that the people who believe that the "people who believe in Lance Armstrong as a hero are morons" ARE MORONS :) ROFL.

Quoting Rob Curtis on Pharmstrong, for the Fanbois:

"Some of the reason I find it hard to explain to "regular" people who are now taking a pedestrian interest why, I am pissed at this whole thing. It's not because he doped. We figured that part out eons ago.

Betsy, Frankie, Kathy, Greg, his poor mechanic in Spain, etc. In his pursuit of whatever it was he was trying to achieve he destroyed a lot of lives and companies through financial stress and legal battles.

He's a real world example of Machiavelli's "Prince" and I have figured out in my life that the ends do not in fact justify the means.

The sport will be fine. There are too many of us that care too deeply for it ever to be maimed. We can argue about whether it's time to move on or not, etc.....that's all fine and good, but you're going to find throughout the sport the same feeling that I am experiencing.

Not many of us have been good at identifying it, but for me I will describe it as anger, rage, frustration. Screw the "doping" part. Call it the "bullying" if you want....it's more than that. "

It is not the doping - it is building this House of Lies on top of it and selling it to a gullible public. THAT is the difference. To all those of you who think that this is all excusable: I hope you bring your kids up better than this!"

So, fanbois might or might not be morons, but I hope they get the point about what the fuss is all about. Not only about the doping.

If you guys 'still' feel Lance s a hero, well, what more can be said?

He destroyed lives, and hid behind the cancer thing. And fanbois still buy the crap.

I heard few people saying to me that he is atleast brave enough to come on the TV and admit it all on Oprah show. And I was : "Like he had anything remaining to admit in the first place.. It was all proved. There was nothing more to admit."... It looked to me as if the was trying to get some sympathy on the show.
I think he deserves a 10yrs imprisonment, at least, and the state taking over all the money and assets he acquired through cycling directly or indirectly.

Oh, I can sort of understand why he doped. After doping he had to do all he can to discredit anyone who made any allegations. Can understand the reasons behind that too. Who's to say we would not have done similarly given a chance to be a worldwide hero?

Just that I find anyone who hero worships him AFTER all this completely moronic.

He might be a shame for the cycling community and as a sportsman I can say too that he must be punished for the same. For me Lance will still remain the hero because it was him who got me on the bike and I AM EXTREMELY THANKFUL TO HIM FOR THIS. Livestrong organisation is doing wonders for the cancer community and it is his efforts with the help of others which have brought happiness in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Doc, have you heard about the Heinz dilemma?

Googled now and read about the Heinz thing. Nope, had not heard about it before.

Even Livestrong is actually controversial. Don't know much but have read often that larger amounts than were necessary were spent on admin etc [allegedly his personal legal fees etc], rather than on the disease itself. Like I said, can't say for sure it is true.

Also the confusion between Livestrong.org versus Livestrong.com was very convenient for him.

Also David Walsh talks about it in his recent book.

"do you regularly view the videos posted via the Second Coming's twitter? Did you notice that all these videos are posted at Livestrong.COM? This means that every time you go watch that video you are directly contributing to pageviews and ad revenue which is fattening LA's wallet. Livestrong.com is a for-profit website run by Demand Media and features plenty of ads. Livestrong.ORG is a separate site, yet few people seem to realize this. Whenever you see LA riding around in his Livestrong kit, people assume that he is using this to raise awareness for his anti-cancer campaign. Yet Livestrong is also the name of his for-profit website. So that kit is also one big advertisement driving people to Livestrong.com where they are earning revenue for LA. So next time you see the Livestrong logo plastered everywhere, ask yourself, does this really have everything to do with cancer, or is he advertising for his for-profit website and earning ad revenue under the banner of fighting cancer? You might also reconsider the whole point of all those videos. Each time he posts one, the traffic to that page of Livestrong.com must go through the roof. Pageviews equal money. He just refuses to speak to the media, creates his own videos, drives traffic to his site to earn money. But the comeback is all about preventing cancer."

Again, I might even empathize with him for the doping. Can totally understand the reasons and the temptations, AND I also feel he was a great entertainer [far more than say Wiggo] but hero? Nope. Not in my book.

Also, how is that Heinz dilemma relevant here?

Also genuinely curious here.

OK, he inspired you to cycle, and for that you are grateful. WHen you read the damage he has done to his 'friends' and colleagues [not even talking about damage to the sport, as doping was prevalent anyway], including destroying some lives and careers, does that not offset the impact of getting you motivated to cycle?

He called his masseuse [Emma O'Reilly] a prostitute and a drunk and filed legal cases against her. One promising cyclist forever left pro cycling as he was not willing to succumb to Lance's pressure to dope.

LA is an A**H***, In OPRAH show he never expressed his regret for what he did and it was more of defending himself. What a big Jerk.
I had neutral opinion on him till I saw the show, but I don't think I like to watch his videos anymore.

I don't know about Heinz dilemma. But Chirag seems to sound something along the lines of Karna having to side with Duryodhan all through his life because of one significant event where he had to prove his eligibility to challenge Arjuna. Men have ways to owe and repay debts. So, we do have to respect that.

I just read the Heinz dilemma. It is not similar to Karna's conflict of interests. It is more along the murder and cannibalism in Harvard Justice series: http://www.justiceharvard.org/watch/ There are youtube videos if the site is slow in streaming.

I read the Heinz Dilemma too.

What if Heinz was having an affair with the pharmacist in question?
Does that not spice up the dilemma?

Good catch - The key takeaway from this point is - NEVER follow any links to Livestrong.com, since we'll be indirectly enriching Lance. That's not a mistake I want to make.
