Hi Everyone,

Three of us from RFL are doing a biathlon (we like to call it diathlon
but that's a different story) tomorrow morning, September 15th..

The plan is to meet at hebbal flyover and cycle down to Nandi hills.
Park the bike down and run upto the top and back and cycle back. So
it's a bike-run-bike combo.

We are planning to start from Hebbal flyover at around 5:00 AM.

Still finalizing the plan. mail me at
arvind....@thefullerlife.com if you want to join in.

Cheers,

Arvind

Hey shiv,

We did do the trip! This is the first time i went cycling long distance (had cycled only 14 kms max till now).

The sun wasn't out throughout the trip so that made quite a difference. But at the end of it the three of us came to the conclusion that this trip should be done more often.

Nandi hills was covered in clouds and was absolutely amazing. It was totally worth it.

Arvind,

Thats a good news. Yes I do agree on that. View from nandi hills will
be amazing when clouds are there. also before sunrise the changes in
sky will be very good too. Color change from orange to bright white as
time passes.

will try to join for next ride.

happy cycling,
GBhat

Hey Rekha,

One way was 55kms, out of which 8kms was running (up the hill). So a total of 94kms of cycling and 16 kms running. I am going by the road markers here and not any gadget.

Don't know about the gradient but the ride was undulating throughout the route. Very few flat stretches.

We reached there in 2:10 hrs and running up took a little over an hour.

Over all it took me 9:23 hrs from the time i started from my house to the time i got back at an avg heart rate of 134. :)

INext time around we should have our own peleton :)
