Hi Folks,

Thought of sharing about Tristate 600K recce

Sat,16th Feb, Karthikeyan and myself did a recce started around 3pm from Silkboard >> Hosur >> Krishnagiri >> Vaniyambadi >> Gudiyattam >> Palamner/Palamneri >> Mulbagal >> Kolar >> KR Puram >> MG Road

Food point/water refill on this stretch:

Athibele control: after control, nearing to main road, on your left Raman fast food (sorry don't remember name exactly, but easy to locate)

Shoolagiri Kamat/McD/CCD

Krishnagiri turn off

Natrapalli around 6km towards Vaniyanmadi/Mufasa's Diner

Vaniyambadi Mufasa’s diner

Please note: Brindavan Motel is closed from past 6 months, we had called Mr. Kannan and he sounded very happy, to get a call after 1 year from bikers and he was kind enough to give Anand Bhavan contact details

Vasu: you can remove Brindavan contact/details from the cuesheet

Pallikonda: Anand Bhavan on your right, 3k from Pallikonda toll plaza (opened b/w 6am and 12 mid night), if required you can call Mr. Manikantan ANAND BHAVAN owner incase if you land there at unusual hours +919043787132 with prior notice and you can mention Mr. Kannan’s name owner of Motel Brindavan, Ambur

Gudiyattam: 5-8k mark, there are many breakfast points (you can look out for small huts) every 1k, but these are opened after 7am, so reserve some food before the Palamner climb if you start climbs before this time, 30k no shops/hotels.

Palamner check post: before climbs you can refill your bottles from the tap available and when you enter Palamner town, you will find lots of watermelon vendors/hotels

Towards Mulbagal: 2-3k mark hotel on your left and 20-24k mark, hotel on your right side and if you don't want to cross the road, 2k Shanthi sagar on your left.

Road condition: Super tarmac until Ambur - watch out for bad stretch outside Ambur heading towards Pallikonda, before toll plaza/Gudiyattam turn off point major road construction going on, very narrow roads

Don't forget to ride with good lights/reflective vests.

Rain: We had to drop idea of riding the stretch Vaniyambadi >> Ambur >> Katapadi control, due to rain.

It was surprising, Sat night, we thought of taking a break at Mufasa's Diner around 11pm for a soft drink, and we were about to leave around 11:45 and it started raining heavily and we had to stay back as it was raining all night, until morning 5:30am and we took a ride until Gudiyattam (to avoid 50k ride, loosing 3 hours was not at all a good idea and we both were not keen to start Palamner during heat), as we wanted to reach Palamner at the earliest and Mr. Muben at Mufasa's arranged for our stay and this guy was very helpful and he remembered Mr. Srikandh and Mr. Sreepathi Pai.

Missed the race: Last weekend, we missed the awesome BBCh 13 1st race of this season, the 600k route recce date was decided at Hampi post breakfast meet, after successive 3 weekend rides (200k practice ride for 400k Chirtradurga 26th Jan and 2nd/3rd Feb Fleche) thought of taking break 8th Feb and we overlooked the race dates

To add:
-Ambur has some coffee/tea joints open through the night
-CCD at HP petrol bunk between Pallikonda and Vellore(opposite side of the road on the way to Vellore) may or may not be open depending on the time you reach
-Pallikonda tollbooth has a loo
-the corner where you turn to Gudiyattam after the Pallikonda toll booth had a bakery that was open pretty early in the morning last year

Me and the teenage old man(T Ashok Sir) did a recee from the start point>Harohalli> Jigni>Anekal>Attibele

-lots of small shops you can look for before the Jigni climb where you can get water and Banana.
-Roads are good. (Roadies- watch out for some bad patches in between at times)
-Grapes/Watermelon/Cucumber and other fruits are easily available near Anekal and Attibele.
