Hero or hercules single speed

First timer in the group thank you for letting me in, 

Which would be a better brand hero or hercules in the single speed segment around 6k.

I heard hero quality has gone downhill lately, any help will be deeply appreicated as this is my first hero pruchase have used BSA SLR before.
