Cubbon Park Session, Sunday 27 Jul 2025
A special Sunday filled with inspiration, milestones, and a memorable visit from esteemed guests!
Trainers : Junaid, Naga Prakash, Vinay, Aman
Hello: Dr. Shamala Iqbal, Ms G. Kusuma (Dept. of Horticulture)
Newbies :
Ranita : was undoubtedly the star of the day! She got her balance right in her very first session — a huge accomplishment! Her energy was infectious, though she had to take a short break mid-way due to exhaustion. Congratulations, Ranita — you're well on your way!
Sanvik - 5th grade student coming for the time. Accompanied by her father. She brought her own cycle.
Initially she looked tense and was not paying much attention, but as she moved quickly from scooting to pedaling,
she was humming and enjoying. She can pedal but needs more practice and focus on handling speed.
Ongoing Learners:
Deepthi is still working on building her balance and spent the session scooting. With a bit more consistent practice, she’ll surely get there.
Muskan : was also scooting and needs more sessions to perfect her balance. Keep going — progress is just around the corner!
Salma : Aman says :Salma Ma'am - She was not able to balance on the normal bike, so moved to the scooting bike. Did 3 rounds and made a little progress with keeping her feet in the air. But she was very excited throughout to try and learn.🤞
Saniya - Able to balance on the scooting and the normal bike but struggled with pedalling. Fear of falling playing more on her mind.
Junaid adds:
🌼 A Special Visit
The highlight of today’s session was a warm and encouraging visit from
Dr. Shamla Iqbal, I.A.S., Secretary to the Government (Department of Horticulture), accompanied by Mrs. G. Kusuma, Deputy Director of Horticulture, Bengaluru.

Dr. Shamla was keen to try cycling after many years. Though initially skeptical, she surprised herself by balancing effortlessly and enjoying a short but joyful ride. She expressed interest in purchasing a bicycle and asked for recommendations — we’re happy to assist!

The visiting team from the Department of Horticulture was appreciative of the initiative led by Dr. Ali and team to promote cycling and mobility learning for all. They left with smiles, warm words, and encouragement for the great work being done.
**Keep pedaling and see you next weekend! 🚴‍♂️🌿**
