Hi all, here comes the map with routes marked, little heavy file though!you can all have a close look at it at home. i am trying to make a print out tomorrow of reasonable size, say 1;100'000. that is half the paper sized of the 1;50'000 original survey map. will keep you posted on this. if possible will take a couple of such prints with me on saturday.follow the red arrows to magadi, turn south.......for those who want to take shorter routes and do pic- nic extensively until the long range riders come back to manchanbele dam there are many options for short cuts;green: turn left before Ramnagar and ride up the Arkavati valley along the stream.to manchanbele village...... with further optionsyellow: turn right at km point 13 and cut west across lovely hills towards hosur village to joint the long range riders on their way back form Kanva dam. lovely granite hillocks here to rest and climb!blue 1: cut off the Channapatna highway bit and ride form ramnagar directly towards kanva damblue 2: take right turn at mattikeri and go towards YG gudde reservoir and explore those smaller roads. I have not been on these roads.the funny thing is that my maps are older than the dam and not even its construction is mentioned. saw the reservoir only on google recently while exploring my recent sunday ride to huliyurdurga 35 km south west of magadi.the icing on the cake at the end when we are little tired perhaps and need some cooling: the ride down the forest valley from Viragaudanagoddi to Manchanbele with the last bathing point en route! further via big banyan tree back to Tavarekere and NICE road again!ok, have a good look at prepare yourself according to your ambitions.6.15 very latest departure, otherwise late comers have to ride litlle faster. i can say i will not ride fast that saturday, particularly not the first bity to magadi. so everyone can catch up !see you there, georg and family!

I just made a statement on BZ that I will ride support on the next couple epic BBC rides if necessary in exchange for inputs on motorbike purchase.
So basically, I volunteer motor support here if required. Otherwise, I will be happy to ride my bicycle! Georg?

Hi all,
please put your mobile nos. to your name in the list, will be helpful at the starting point to check if everybody has arrived or still on the way .... etc.
so saturday is close , see you tomorrow morning at 6.15 at NICE road junction on magadi road.. i will leave with family in the car from home Vasanthnagar and go through sheshadripuram via platform road, rajajinagar entrance, taeke a left there and reach magadi road near the chord road junction, cross chord road and go all the way chord road to outer ring road junction in the valley with the bridge, cross, up the hill to sun kadakatte and further to Nice road junction. up that hill out of the valley is a bit hard and steep, hope there are not too many buses at the time, but once up it is easy rolling to the Nice road junction starting point.
of course in the car we will caryy cycle pump, some tools, and buisciuts and water. on the way we can buy some bananas and carry them in the car.
but please all carry spare tube and puncture repair kit with you on the bike also.
whom we meet on the road to start point we might give a lift or just encourage.....!
cheers, georg

My number added below. I am starting from HSR Layout. I will be riding all the way through outer ring road till Magadi road intersection and take a left towards Nice road junction. It might be 2-3 kms extra, but that way I don't have to bother much about finding the way..1 Georg (9880415360)and Radhika (with opel corsa and mohan (9845229584)2 Manush c f3 Abhijit (htedum)4.
