I hope you're doing well. Incorporating a gerber viewer into EAGLE is low on the priority list compared to other features. The main reason is the availability of so many free gerber viewers like the ones Rachael mentioned. Additionally, having a third party tool show your gerbers can build more confidence in their accuracy than a viewer within the tool.

I wasn't aware of gerbv or gerbview, but I have heard of gerblock and viewplot. I've actually used Pentalogix ViewMate - which worked fine but required me to search their website, create an account, and import my gerber files so I could examine the resulting plots.

Thanks for adding my request to integrate Gerber plot viewing to the "Wish List" of potential EAGLE improvements. I personally would find value in not having to go outside of EAGLE to see what my Gerber plots look like. I could always compare EAGLE's plot views with those generated by alternate sources to reveal any potential problems.

I don't know whether it would help but you could create display aliases to match each of your gerber layer setups. That way you can quickly call up an alias to display just what is shown for each layer of the gerber. You could also write a script to export all these layer setups automatically in monochrome into a chosen folder which would then enable you to view them with the standard image viewer from within your OS. A script could be written to open it up with all the files loaded form within EAGLE. Similarly a script could be created to automatically launch gerbv from within EAGLE and either of these could be integrated into a custom menu for ease of access.

I came across this RadiANT DICOM Viewer tutorial that in just eight minutes gives you quite a good overview how to use this viewer, including rendering 3D, reconstructing multiplanar views, using measurement tools and much more.

Hi, I'm getting this "Error(SPMHDB-238): The design is corrupted. It may have been copied from a different architecture using ASCII mode; copy using binary mode," when opening a .brd file for the adafruit FT232H. Adafruit directs you to download the PCB files which are on github. I'm surprised it can't read the .brd file and am looking for suggestions on how to solve this. I honestly don't know what "copy using binary code" mean. On github, you can copy the raw contents. I've put in on a txt file but not sure what I can do with this. Thank you!

According to the Adafruit site: "PCB files for the Adafruit FT232H Breakout. The format is EagleCAD schematic and board layout" so you would need to use the Eagle Translator in PCB Editor to be able to open the data in PCB Editor - that does assume that the source files are in a format that the Eagle translator can handle.

Hi, I'm using the free cadence viewer FYI. But I opened the OrCAD Capture application and I have the option to import eagle translator schematic. It ask for a .sch file, I have and selected this but the issue is it couldn't execute. Error was "couldn't execute "C:\Cadence\PCBViewers_2019\tools\bin\EagleImport\Eagle2Cp.exe": no such file or directory." Is there a limitation to free viewer? I'm digging in and can't figure out why the "Eagle Import" or "Eagle2Cp.exe" isn't in my files/directory. I have the pdfs of these to explain how to do what I did but it doesn't help trouble shoot for my error.

Located at the 164 acre Eagle Point Park, this ADA accessible, colorblind viewer is outfitted with Enchroma lenses to enable people with red-green colorblindness to see a broader range of clear, vibrant color. Sharing the beauty of #WhereIowaStarted in its full spectrum of wonder.

You can use a variety of lookup methods, including Description, Department, Class, Fineline, and Vendor. You can access the Inventory Viewer from Inventory Maintenance, POS, Business Advisor, or Purchasing and Receiving.

When you invoke the Inventory Viewer from the Inventory Maintenance window, the system performs certain automatic lookups depending on where your cursor is located at the time. If you click Viewer when your cursor is in the Item ( SKU Part ) field with an SKU displayed, the system launches the viewer by Item Number, carrying in the SKU Part of the displayed item. If your cursor is in the Description field when you click Viewer, the system performs a lookup by Description. If your cursor is in the Dept, Class, Fineline, Prime Vend, or Mfg Vend field when you click Viewer, the Inventory Viewer displays doing the corresponding type of lookup, starting with the value you entered in the field (if any). For example, if your cursor is in the Dept field and the displayed itempart is in department 3, when you click Viewer, the Inventory Viewer comes up with a lookup by Department and starting with department 3.

I did a forum search, but the only results are the very old requests for a DAM or at least a browser showing the content of Affinity files. Be it Designer or Photo - does anybody knows how to get an overview over my Affinity files? As well on Windows 10 as on Mac OS Ventura? I'd like to recommend my employer to skip the Adobe Suite subscriptions, but without a browser (like lousy Bridge, just a bit better ?) we'd be doomed. I really do not understand what's so complicated to let us users wait for more than 4 years now. ?

Thank you all for your replies. In the meantime I was searching the forum a bit more. Finder or Explorer can also show thumbnails and XnView is only free for private users. So, at home I can use Finder but in the office ... well, I was used to Bridge which at least can give colour tags and has some other tricks, it's also free to use - but can't show AP, AD or AP files. Naturally as Adobe surely doesn't want to make Affinity users too happy. So, Affinity DAM apparently is dead before it came to life?

It just doesn't work. At least not in version 2.49.3 (May 2020) which is available in the company I'm working in. I'm trying to convince our IT to skip Adobe suites and buy Affinity instead. But Bridge is at least showing Adobe formats. XnView classic is very limited. As shown in the screenshot, I can't see the contents of too much files and the preview of an AFDesign file just shows the hex code.

The windows version has a gear wheel icon for the settings. I don't use XnView on my Mac, the layout is windowishlike horrible and I have enough browsers. But here on Windows it's very helpful. And doens't look worse than most other applications. ?

I like very much; while it is not free, it is quite versatile as a DAM and priced very reasonably (buy once). One thing to consider, though: it does not browser the folders on the device, instead it puts everything into its own database. On the other hand, this way one can only put the assets needed into eagle and backup all assets from one source. I see thumbnails for all three Affinity apps on Windows.

For over two decades the Raytheon EAGLE team has been developing world-class software solutions designed to support the production and management of program logistics, technical manual development, and product support data. All of the products listed below share a centralized database which means that there is no need to create complex interfaces for moving GIEA-STD 0007 Task data from your Logistics Product Database into your S1000D or 40051 compliant technical publications. Provisioning data developed in your Logistics Product Database can be used to baseline your parts inventory and As-Built configurations in your Maintenance Management System.

EAGLE utilizes an indentured parts list/bill of material loader to generate a spec-compliant breakdown and can backfill LSA data as well as an ad hoc table interface for bulk loading and editing. A featured interface allows for tailoring information by way of cloning, referencing, or adding & editing records individually by functional area. Entire branches can be moved in a breakdown view of the project and entire breakdowns can be mapped to particular variants in a matrix view of the complete system.

EAGLE automatically builds all standardize logistics reports, exchange files, and integrates with the EAGLE Publishing System, or EPS, to flow LSA data into technical publications on a single database instance which meet the requirements of ASD S1000D and MIL-STD-40051.

EAGLE Ad Hoc is a powerful reporting tool that allows users to easily create simple or complex SQL-based reports that can be tailored to extract data from EAGLE, EPS or MMIS. After an Ad Hoc query is executed, data can be updated on the fly, and new rows can be imported by cutting and pasting directly from Microsoft Excel. This feature allows you to cut and paste 1000s of rows into the database with a couple of clicks. Ad Hoc queries can also be stored in the database for future use.

Creating your initial LCN structure can be complicated and time consuming, particularly if you are new to the concept of LCNs. The EAGLE Bill of Materials importer allows EAGLE users to easily transform indentured parts lists from Microsoft Excel into GEIA-STD-0007 or other LPD formats. Users can specify the LCN structure, format, and gaps, then preview what the LCN breakdown structure will look like before updating the EAGLE LDP database. Users can also select what LDP tables and columns to backfill, and are provided with a report that highlights any potential data quality issues so that they can be corrected.

EAGLE Breakdown Navigation is an intuitive tree-based application that gives users the ability to visualize a functional or physical product breakdown structure of the end items and systems that reside in the EAGLE LPD repository. Output can be viewed as an LCN breakdown, or Part Number breakdown and can also be filtered by Usable On Code (UOC). This feature is a must for programs that have several product variants. From the EAGLE Breakdown navigator, users can easily jump from any item in the tree to Provisioning, RAM, Task Analysis, Transportation, as well as documents and drawings.
