The speaker, Harold Shannon, gave a very good presentation. He stated
that because we were mostly information systems majors, he was going
to do it without the use of power points because he knew we would only
pay attention to what's on the screen and not listen to him. He pretty
much did the entire presentation off the top of his head, and using
question and answer format. The main topic of his presentation was
project management. His main point was that whether we knew it or not,
we were all project managers, stating that most tasks involve
planning, action and follow through. He also said that in a good job
market it took him 75 resume's and a couple of months to actually get
a job, so to not be discouraged with today's present conditions.
