比如正确密码大概是9位或者9位以上,但是工具从3位开始尝试会浪费很多时间

Hello, this is Bandisoft.

Bandizip and most other tools use a brute-force algorithm to recover a password for an encrypted archive file. It means that the time required for recovery increases rapidly with each additional digit in the password.

For example, if the target password is 9-digit long (lowercase letters and numbers only) and it takes 2 hours to process passwords from 1 to 8 digits in length, processing from 1 to 9 digits would take 72 hours. Even if you preset the length to 9 digits, processing only the 9-digit passwords would take 70 hours.

Leaving aside that there are other technical challenges in adding a feature to preset the password length, as shown in the example above, such a feature would not lead to a significant reduction in recovery time, only a 3% reduction, from 72 to 70 hours. We would appreciate your understanding.
