I've encountered some problems setting as external text editor the excellent CudaText.
When this text editor already has other text files open (is a multi-tab editor), BandZip fails to detect file changes when closing the CudaText tab after saving...

Details here, where I asked first to CudaText author:
and concludes by suggesting that BandZip could perhaps detect changes to text files based on the timestamp of the file rather than on closing the program. Sounds a good suggestion to me...

Yeh... It's so hard to solve the problem.

Bandizip works like this.
1) Open an archive and double-click on a text file.
2) Bandizip extracts the file to the temporary folder, and launches the text editor.
3) Bandizip waits until the process is closed.
4) If the file is modified, Bandizip asks and applies it to the archive.

In the second step,
If the first CudaText process already exists, the second CudaText does not open the file directly.
Instead, the second CudaText sends the file pathname to the first process to open the file, and then the second process closes.

Currently there is no way to handle this issue. Checking the file time in the temp folder has problems as well and I cannot choose the solution. Sorry.
