ZPAQ Issue

I am using Bandizip v7.30, which is the latest version available now. I have found that support for ZPAQ does not seem to be adequate. Here are the problems I have encountered

• When compressing files with ZPAQ, errors often occur if a password is set, but it works fine when no password is set.
• Every time I compress a file, the progress bar reaches 100%, but it still takes a while to actually finish.

If you encounter an error when archiving files in the ZPAQ format, please let us know exactly what error message (error code) is displayed, or how the error occurs under what circumstances.

The progress bar shown when archiving files in the ZPAQ format indicates how far the app has progressed in data READING. Even when the progress bar for this reading already reaches 100%, the app may take much longer to complete data WRITING.

Hi Bandisoft Team,

Thank you for your reply. The attached images show the configuration and the error message when I compress the file, it shows the error code as "0xa0000049".

I have tested different files on different computers and every time I set the password I get the same error, but if I don't set the password then I can compress the file successfully.

There was an issue that if you created an encrypted ZPAQ archive with More options > Test archive, a false error message was shown when the archive was actually not corrupted. We fixed this issue several months ago and it does not occur in the latest beta version of the app. Please feel free to download the beta version at the link below and test it.
