The Maltese people, especially those at Mdina and Nadur, celebrate
Mnarja on June 29th - the feast of St Peter and St Paul.

The origins of this popular feast can be traced back into the 15th
century.

Mnarja is rooted in Maltese culture and tradition. This feast has
always been considered as a special day for everyone, particularly for
the peasants who used to have their annual break at this time of year
and try to enjoy it to the full.
