Wow! Spam!

I realized I haven't posted here in awhile, so I thought I'd drop in
and let you know what's happening....and what do I find? SPAM! Lots
and lots of SPAM! Good lord!

I deleted it all, and made sure the spammer was banned. What a pain,
as Google will only let you delete one message at a time. I think I
deleted around 30 of them!

Anyway. I haven't posted in awhile. Although I loved my blog layout
with Wordpress, it made me uncomfortable. I was getting very little
in the way of search engine traffic - and from the beginning the free
layout I was using had some issues that made me question the creator's
ethics shall we say....but hey -it was free - what do you expect?

So I copied all my posts in a Word doc. Copied all my pictures,
comments, etc. And then installed Joomla in my root directory. I
made a link to the old blog - just in case.

Long story short - Joomla is not a blogging platform. I like it - but
it is frustrating as it is not as simple as Wordpress to get around
in. Got fed up, deleted Joomla, and hoped my original blog would be
there waiting for me. It wasn't.

Somehow I screwed something up - so........back to Joomla. I'm
recreating everything from the ground up. Maybe it's a good thing,
maybe not. But I'm stuck. Hopefully now I can do it right the first
time (or second time)....

I'm able to access your blog fine. Congrats, btw, on getting on
Google page 1 for "magic of believing". How has your search engine
traffic been now?

Thanks for clearing the spam. I get the group messages in email, and
the spam filter must've filtered those spam messages out.

Well I'll be.  I finally get fed up with nonexistant google rankings, and switch to Joomla - to find out I finally made page one.  It figures.  Now I have an empty blog on page 1.  Guess I need to get my tail in gear and start adding all that content back!

Good luck chuck, and thanks for deleting the spam. By the way, there
are free wordpress templates that say SEO ready. Try look for those,
if you want to go back to wordpress.
